Jéhu and Micheline Attias (Colombier Wines) - Uncovering Icons of the New World

On October 9th we were glad to welcome back Colombier Wines, this time to present wines from the southern hemisphere. The focus was very much on food-friendly wines from talented individual producers. While the wines followed a French style, they were very much of their place. The sparkling wines were extraordinary value, the New Zealand wines were beautiful and pure examples, the Malbecs were dense and serious wines, and the Col Cross Shiraz was gloriously deep and dark. As always Jéhu and Micheline presented their wines with insight and charm, we had a wonderful tasting from them.

The wines tasted were:

  1. Haselgrove Sparkling, NV. McLaren Vale, Australia. Chardonnay

  2. Clouston & Co, 2023. Marlborough, New Zealand. Sauvignon Blanc

  3. Haselgrove Staff, 2023. Adelaide Hills, Australia. Chardonnay

  4. Clouston & Co, 2022. Marlborough, New Zealand. Pinot Noir

  5. Vichguén, Single Vineyard, 2023. Valle de Colchagua, Chile. Merlot
